About Us

STEPHANIE SORENSEN – OWNER/DOG WALKER/PET SITTER/ANIMAL MASSAGE THERAPIST

I currently live in Peachtree Corners, Georgia with my husband, three dogs (a female pit bull, a female Labrador Retriever, and my new adoptee – a male pit mix) and a tuxedo cat. I hold a Bachelors Degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences from Texas A&M University, and a Masters Degree in Biology from the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a concentration in herpetology. I completed my coursework and certification at the Northwest School of Animal Massage and plan to continue my massage education.

I am currently a member of the International Association of Animal Massage and Bodywork, Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals, and am fully insured and bonded through the International Association of Animal Massage and Bodywork and Pet Sitters Associates.

To say I have loved animals all my life is a bit cliché, but it is the truth. I have had dogs ever since I could remember. I raised gerbils in grade school and junior high, had goldfish and bettas, and even had a bunch of snakes, lizards, and frogs in college. I loved, cared for, and enjoyed them all! My wildlife studies helped me gain a deeper understanding of many of the wild critters in our world, as well as the domestic ones in our homes.

I started pet sitting in the summer of 2009 for Pampered Pet Care of Atlanta. I spent a few years sitting for a wide variety of furred and feathered clients – including hermit crabs, sea monkeys, and other interesting critters amongst the dogs and cats. In 2011, I started Zen Dog as solely a small animal massage company, offering dog and cat massage to the Atlanta metro area. In 2013, I added pet sitting services to my company. I absolutely love pet sitting, dog walking, and animal massage – both give me the opportunity to connect deeply with animals other than my own, which is a true gift.

I cannot wait to meet you and your furred, feathered and scaly crew. I am sure I will love them as my own in no time!

Namaste,
Stephanie Sorensen

STEPHEN SORENSEN – DOG WALKER/PET SITTER

I have always had an interest in wildlife since I was a youngster growing up on the west bank in New Orleans. I received a degree in Wildlife Management from LSU and am the resident ornithologist of the family. I have also always been a dog owner, and also love cats, even while being mildly allergic! I left the corporate world of consulting in January 2015, deciding to work for the family business instead. I currently have several happy clients and haven’t looked back. I look forward to meeting and caring for your critters!

Sincerely,
Stephen Sorensen

SCARLET (ZEN DOG I) – ZEN MASTER, MASSAGE DEMO DOG, FIELD MANAGER

Hi, my name is Scarlet, and I am the field manager and demo dog. That means I get to travel with Mom, and she gives me short massages while people watch. I also accompany Mom on public outings and to events. It is a tough job, but someone has to do it. I take it very seriously. I have had years of practice in being a mellow, “zen” dog, and I love my job!

I hope to meet you soon!

Namaste,
Scarlet

RIPPLE (ZEN DOG II) – ZEN DOG MASCOT, ZEN PADAWAN, OFFICE MANAGER, BLOGGER

Hey, folks! Ripple here, and I am excited that Mom is letting me be a part of things! Skills I bring to the table are enthusiasm (a LOT of enthusiasm), energy, and a zest for life! I am currently the face of Zen Dog as a virtual mascot. Mom also has me blogging about all kinds of topics – stuff Mom gives me to blog about, as well as my own rants and raves. I have my own Facebook page! You can find me here:facebook.com/ZenDogRipple

Mom looks forward to meeting you (and so do I because she comes home and tells me all about you)!

Much Zen,
Ripple
